Code and core ("Code and core," "we," "us," or "our") operates WordPress Plugin Pro, a marketplace and dashboard for discovering, licensing, and managing WordPress plugins, accessible at wordpress-plugins.pro (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices you have.

This Policy applies to visitors, registered users, and customers of the Service. By using WordPress Plugin Pro, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Scope note: This Policy covers data collected through the WordPress Plugin Pro marketplace and dashboard itself - account registration, license activation, billing, and support. It does not cover the data-handling practices of individual plugins once installed and running on your own WordPress site (for example, data a plugin collects from your site's visitors, such as form submissions, SEO/analytics data, or caching data). Data practices vary by plugin and are described in that plugin's own documentation or, where applicable, its own privacy notice. You are responsible for ensuring your use of any plugin on your site complies with your own obligations to your site's visitors.

We collect information in three ways: information you give us directly, information collected automatically, and information from third parties involved in delivering the Service.

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

  • Account information: Name, email address, and password when you register for an account.
  • Billing and license information: Business/agency name, billing address, and transaction details when you purchase a premium plugin or subscription. Payment card and banking details are collected and processed directly by our payment processor, Razorpay - we do not store your full card number or banking credentials on our own servers.
  • Site and license activation data: The URL(s) of the WordPress site(s) where you activate a license, along with plugin version and activation status, so we can validate licenses and push updates.
  • Support and help desk data: Any information you submit when contacting support or opening a help desk ticket, including your message content, site URLs, error logs, or screenshots you choose to share, and our correspondence with you.
  • Newsletter data: Your email address if you subscribe to our developer newsletter.
  • Communications: Information you provide when you contact us via the contact form, email, or other channels.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you use the Service, we may automatically collect:

  • Usage data: Pages visited, features used, dashboard actions (e.g., activating/deactivating a license), and timestamps.
  • Device and connection data: IP address, browser type, operating system, and general location inferred from IP address.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: We use cookies and similar technologies necessary for login sessions, security, and remembering your preferences. See Section 7 (Cookies) for details.

Note: If we add analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) or advertising/marketing pixels in the future, we will update this Policy and, where required by law, request your consent via a cookie banner.

2.3 Information From Third Parties

  • Payment confirmation data from Razorpay confirming a successful or failed transaction (e.g., transaction ID, amount, status) - not full payment credentials.
  • Infrastructure and hosting logs generated by the cloud providers we use to run the Service (see Section 4).

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account and dashboard.
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions and license keys through Razorpay.
  • Activate, validate, and push automatic updates to licensed plugins on your connected sites.
  • Provide customer and technical support, including responding to help desk tickets.
  • Send transactional communications (e.g., license expiry notices, renewal reminders, security notices).
  • Send newsletter and marketing communications, where you have opted in - you can unsubscribe at any time.
  • Monitor, secure, and improve the Service, including detecting fraud, abuse, or unauthorized license use.
  • Comply with legal obligations, including tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements.

We do not sell your personal data.

4. How We Share Your Information

We share personal data only as needed to operate the Service:

  • Payment processing: Razorpay, to process subscription and license payments.
  • Infrastructure and hosting partners: Cloud and infrastructure providers (which may include AWS, Google Cloud, DigitalOcean, Cloudflare, and/or Vercel) used to host the Service, deliver plugin files/updates, and protect against security threats.
  • Support tools: Any third-party help desk or ticketing software used to manage support requests, if applicable.
  • Legal and safety: Where required to comply with a legal obligation, enforce our Terms of Service, or protect the rights, property, or safety of Code and core, our users, or others.
  • Business transfers: If Code and core is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy or a policy at least as protective.

We require third parties who process personal data on our behalf to protect it consistently with this Policy and applicable law.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations. Support ticket data and transaction records may be retained for a longer period where required for accounting or legal compliance purposes. You may request deletion of your account data as described in Section 8.

6. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction, including secure hosting infrastructure and encrypted transmission of payment data via Razorpay. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We use cookies and similar technologies that are strictly necessary for the Service to function, such as:

  • Keeping you logged in to your dashboard.
  • Remembering session and security preferences.
  • Preventing fraudulent license activity.

We currently do not use non-essential tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies. If this changes, we will update this section and, where legally required, obtain your consent through a cookie banner before setting non-essential cookies.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Delete your account and associated personal data, subject to our legal retention obligations.
  • Withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time by using the unsubscribe link in our emails or contacting us directly.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing, where applicable law provides this right.
  • Data portability, where applicable law provides this right.

9. International Data Transfers

Code and core is based in India, and our hosting and payment infrastructure may process or store data in other countries. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we take reasonable steps to ensure it receives an adequate level of protection consistent with applicable law.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for businesses, developers, and agencies, and is not directed at individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

11. Third-Party Links and Individual Plugin Practices

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services (including our infrastructure and payment partners). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies separately.

As noted above, each plugin available through the Service may have its own data collection and processing behavior once installed on your site, separate from the marketplace and dashboard covered by this Policy. Refer to the individual plugin's documentation for details on its specific data practices.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will update the "Last Updated" date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice (such as an email or dashboard notification) where required by law.
